Most riders lose a day to an MOT. Drop the bike off, get a lift home, come back later. Here you can wait while it goes through the test.
If it fails
Nothing gets done to the bike until you have the price. You are told what failed, what it takes to put right, and what that costs. If it is something you would rather do yourself, that is fine too.
